Caramel Apples

We made caramel apples for our dessert tonight! Yummy! Cost Plus (World Market) had the best caramel apple making kit. It came with everything you need to make 6 apples including sprinkles, nuts, and toffee. The only thing I had to buy was the apples!

1 cup flour
3/4 cup wheat flour
1 tablespoon wheat germ (optional)
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup milk
1 large egg
1 1/4 cups berries
Heat oven to 350. Butter or grease a standard muffin tin. Combine egg, milk, sugar, vanilla in a large bowl. Combine dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mix well. Slowly incorporate melted butter into batter. When well mixed, carefully fold in berries. Spoon about 1/4 cup of batter into each prepared cup. Bake until tops are golden, about 15-20 minutes. Let cool in pan 10 minutes before transfering to a cooling rack.
ps: This is actually my recipe so if you are going to mass produce or pass the recipe along please ask me first! :o) Yes, I might actually write a cookbook someday!
Have a fabulous Saturday!

Yes, Harry is scary but don't you think he is fun?? So easy. We just loosely stuffed some old clothes with newspaper. You can use a mask or a lightweight jack o' lantern for the head and old work gloves or scary hands like we used. Some old shoes or work boots and you are ready to scare!
Oh and my little Franky is a gourd, lovingly crafted by Tracy Vandenack!
